Itinerary
Arrival in Chandigarh – Transfer to Shimla
Upon your arrival at Chandigarh Airport, you will be driven to Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh. This picturesque hill resort was once the summer capital of the British and is now one of India’s top tourist destinations, celebrated for its mild climate, winding streets, and snow-capped mountains. Known as the “Queen of Hill Stations,” Shimla sits at an elevation of approximately 2,000 meters above sea level.
In addition to its stunning natural beauty, the region offers a variety of adventure activities, including trekking, mountaineering, and skiing, attracting numerous visitors each year. Once you arrive in Shimla, complete the check-in formalities at your hotel and take some time to relax. Enjoy your overnight stay at the hotel.
Kufri Excursion – Shimla Local Sightseeing
After a delicious breakfast this morning, prepare for an exciting excursion to Kufri, a paradise for nature enthusiasts and wildlife lovers. With breathtaking panoramic views of the Himalayas, steep hikes, adventure sports, and a variety of interesting sightseeing attractions, Kufri is the perfect place to unwind.
Popular among trekkers, Kufri boasts splendid weather and stunning natural beauty, making it an ideal summer getaway. Notably, it hosts an annual winter sports festival in February and is known for having the oldest skiing slopes in Himachal Pradesh. The Himalayan Nature Park on the outskirts is home to over 180 species of fauna.
After your Kufri adventure, return to Shimla and explore the famous Mall Road. Be sure to visit the charming Scandal Point and Jhakoo Temple. After a day of exploration, return to your hotel for a delicious dinner and enjoy an overnight stay in Shimla.
Notes:
– Private vehicles do not have access to Jhakoo Temple due to its location. Guests can take a shared taxi available on Mall Road to visit the temple.
– It is advisable to visit the temple before dark, so consider visiting it first before spending time on Mall Road.
Transfer from Shimla to Manali
After breakfast, prepare for your drive to Manali, one of India’s most popular hill stations, located at an elevation of 6,260 feet above sea level. The picturesque River Beas flows through Manali, enhancing its enchanting landscape against the towering peaks of the valley. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and take some time to relax and appreciate your stunning surroundings. The evening is free for leisure activities.
Manali is a unique blend of ancient charm and modern amenities, featuring numerous tourist attractions such as Rohtang Pass (at an additional cost) and nearby Solang Valley. It is a favored destination for honeymooners and families year-round and is rapidly gaining popularity as an adventure hub, offering activities like zorbing, paragliding, and white-water rafting. Enjoy your overnight stay at the hotel in Manali.
Notes:
- Rohtang Pass is closed from mid-October to mid-May/June, depending on weather conditions at the time of travel.
- A permit is required for Rohtang Pass, along with transfers in a union vehicle, available at an additional cost during travel.
- Temporary closure: Now until June 15 and October 15, 2024, due to winter conditions.
Day Excursion to Solang Valley (Atal Tunnel at Own Cost)
After breakfast, prepare for an exciting excursion to Solang Valley. Located at an elevation of 8,500 feet above sea level, Solang Valley is the go-to destination for adventure activities in Himachal Pradesh, making it a must-visit for thrill-seekers. You can opt for activities such as parachuting, paragliding, skating, or zorbing (all at your own expense). The valley’s lush forests, apple orchards, snow-capped peaks, and rivers also draw many visitors.
During your trip, stop at Nehru Kund before proceeding to the Atal Tunnel. This impressive tunnel begins in Solang and spans 17 kilometers one way, taking approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes to traverse. It concludes at a location known as Sissu. On your return, you’ll have the option to enjoy more activities in Solang Valley.
By evening, return to your hotel in Manali and savor a delightful dinner. Enjoy your overnight stay at the hotel.

Transfer from Manali to Dharamshala – Half-Day Local Sightseeing
After breakfast, check out and set off for Dharamshala, the winter capital of Himachal Pradesh and the home of the Dalai Lama. Nestled in the Kangra district, Dharamshala lives up to its name, meaning “rest house for pilgrims.” The majestic, snow-capped Dhauladhar ranges provide a stunning backdrop to this hill resort, complemented by clear streams and dense pine and deodar forests. Enjoy the refreshing cool air and beautiful surroundings as you travel.
As you journey, feel the cool breeze and take in the breathtaking scenery. Upon arrival in Dharamshala, check in at your hotel. Later, embark on a sightseeing tour that includes the renowned Tibetan Medical Centre, where treatments utilize rare Tibetan medicines.
Visit St. John Church, one of the oldest churches in the region, famous for its exquisite Belgian stained-glass windows donated by Lady Elgin. Additional attractions include the Kangra Art Museum, tea gardens, and Kunal Pathri Temple.

Transfer from Dharamshala to Dalhousie – Enroute Sightseeing in Khajjiar
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Khajjiar (130 km / approximately 4 hours), often referred to as “India’s Switzerland.” This picturesque saucer-shaped plateau is surrounded by dense pine and deodar forests. The beautiful glade of Khajjiar, at an elevation of 1,960 meters, has a circumference of about 5 km, with thick deodar forests climbing its slopes and the snow line resting above.
Upon arrival, check in at your hotel.
Later, visit the 12th-century temple dedicated to KhajjI Nag, which features life-size wooden images of the five Pandava brothers. The temple’s beauty is enhanced by a small lake in the center, complete with a floating island, and there’s a 9-hole golf course nearby.
After your visit, head to Dalhousie and check into your hotel for an overnight stay.
Departure from Dalhousie
Check out from your hotel in Dalhousie and begin your journey to Chandigarh by road, which takes approximately 8 hours. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the airport or railway station to board your flight or train back home.

Important Points
- Hotels may not have free heater services available. Heaters may be arranged from the hotel at additional charges on direct payment basis, varying from Rs 400 – Rs 1000, as per hotel charges and availability. We request you to kindly check the same with the hotel at the time of check-in to avoid inconvenience during stay.
- Vehicle as mentioned in the booking will be provided. Extra charges will be applicable if additional vehicle or upgraded vehicle is required due to travelers carrying extra or oversized luggage.
- Vehicle is available for use only till 8 pm (as per itinerary). Vehicle being kept till late hours will be subject to night charges as applicable and payable directly on ground.
- If you intend to visit Rohtang Pass please note, the tourist vehicles are only allowed till Gulaba Checkpost. Post Checkpost local union taxi are to be hired to go till Rohtang Pass.
- Rohtang Pass is closed for visit on Tuesdays as BRO (Border Road Organization) carries out maintenance of the Rohtang road.
- In order to visit Rohtang Pass you need to obtain a permit. There are limited permits available every day (750 for local HP registered vehicles and only 250 for tourist vehicles).
- Driving in hilly areas which are different from normal driving, speed limit would be 30 kms per hour.
- Vehicles in Hill Areas – Even if you opt for AC vehicle, in hill stations AC is non-operational to avoid damage or mid-trip break down of the vehicle for your own convenience. Also, in several hill areas, commercial vehicles are not allowed to play music to prevent accidents>
- Any cost arising due to unforeseen events like landslides, road blockage, political disturbances (strikes), etc. will have to be borne by the guest. We will help in making best possible alternate arrangements. We will not be liable for any refund claims arising from this.
- All the Tibetan Monasteries are closed in Himachal till further notice.
- In case of road blocks, the vehicle may need to take an alternate route to get you to your destination. This will be subject to additional charges as applicable and payable directly on ground.
- Most of the 2 star and 3 star hotels in Himachal provide only Mattresses not Extra bed.
- In case you are booking an AC Cab, while driving in hilly areas, AC is will be kept switched off.
- Hotels in Shimla, Manali, Dharamshala and Dalhousie do not provide heater free of cost. If you require a heater in the room, that will be payable extra directly at the hotel.
- At the time of check-in to your hotel, hotel may ask you to make an advance/security deposit (amount depends upon hotel policy). This amount is refunded at the time of check-out, minus the cost of any items taken from the mini-bar or other charges (like late check-out or any damages done to the accommodation).
- Any ticket to attractions, museums, train, cable car, ferries, rides, safari, etc. are not included unless explicitly mentioned as an inclusion.
